We all love Christmas Miracles in real life, but do they work in writing? What do you think?

I'm writing this story and I'm thinking if I give it a happy ending, it would be a true miracle - the question is, do I write miracles or not?

If you're in the mood for boundless silliness, may I invite you to step into [livejournal.com profile] the_shrubbery and look around?

The Wicker Basket, a short story based losely on Mansfield Park and being rather ridiculous, is now finished.

It is not yet edited, but if anyone is interested, I can e-mail the pdf.

I'm not sure yet when it'll appear on DWG and AFF, it needs to be re-formatted (it's in LaTeX).

I never wanted to post cheap cliff-hangers, but it appears that I, uhm, accidentally did so. The thing is, it never occured to me that it might be a cliffhanger, since I of course know what happens next. I thought this was a nice point to end the chapter because it would allow me and the readers to draw breath, but now I read the comments and I see my readers don't know what happens next ... I guess that means I better update soon.

Remember Valentine's Day? Remember I hate it?
So I lost a bet to, mostly, myself about what sort of Valentine's story would first appear on the board and dared myself to write a V-Day ficlet. I wanted to write a funny piece about Darcy running amok. Turns out I'm emo inside, and so wrote a very depressive sob thing, inspired by a German poem, the translation of which I provided for you here.

The Fog )

Yes, I'm sad that way. The fog around here is my excuse.
