Sounds like a plan! I know lots of people who feel the same way about eBooks. I find that I don't much mind in which form I *read* books (and eReaders are often easier for all the reasons you listed), but when it comes to particular books I want to *own* (Harry Potters, Jasper Ffordes, etc.), I'm always going to buy the physical book that isn't going to some day become obsolete because the technology changes or the company supporting it goes bankrupt or whatever.
I don't have a dedicated eReader, but I have the Kindle app on my iPad, and, particularly once I really started digging into my library's digital collection (over 100,000 titles), I've started using it a lot more.
