First of all, thank you to all who told me they liked the newspaper extracts. Glad you did!
But really, I have been doing other stuff as well, lately, not just Harry.
I've read Magyk by Angie Sage, which was quite a nice book. It's a children's book, and not nearly as "in-depth" as Harry, but it made a good read, IMO. There certainly was a lot of imagination in there and some very funny ideas, and also a map (I love maps!). I can recommend it if you like a quick fantasy/magic read; I think children from about age 8/9 can read it, so it might strike you as a bit childish, but still.
Now I'm waiting for the library to get me the first book of The Dresden Files, but so far, no such luck. It should have been returned by whoever has it by 9th June, but it hasn't been.
Also, I've started watching Dr Who, because so many of you kept going on about it and I wanted to see what the fuss was. I'd seen one episode while in England, but I wasn't really interested. So now I started with the first series (at first I was 'wtf? where's David Tennant?' but I quite like Christopher Ecclestone by now). I don't know about you, though, but I find it quite creepy at times. Seriously good stuff, and at times also funny, but some things are really creepy. That episode with the kid with the gasmask? Seriously creeping me out. (Loved John Barrowman though). I will continue watching it, but perhaps not in the midle of the night ;-). By the way, how many episodes are there in the first series? I could find 1-14, are there more?
Oh, yes, and I also finished a chapter of P,P&P. It's being betaed at the moment.
